Vehicle Advice Service
Choosing a converted vehicle from Balder UK is straight forward. The five stages from initial assessment to deliver ensure that the experience of gaining complete driving independence is stress free.
- Telephone Consultation
We will ask a few basic questions to establish your specific needs. Then we will arrange for a specialist from Balder UK to contact you and conduct a detailed assessment. - Driving assessment in a safe place
We will evaluate your control requirements at a suitable location in a specially adapted assessment vehicle. Here you will drive an adapted vehicle so that we can discuss options that ensure minimal operating effort. To make the assessment as effective as possible, it is a good idea to involve your partner, occupational therapist, driving advisor or anyone else who may be able to help you. - Receive a full individual prescription
After the driving assessment we will put together a detailed quotation, describing the ATD system we propose to build for you. This will include the special features, modifications and accessories that will help to make life easier. - Final adjustment and comprehensive training
When we deliver your newly adapted vehicle we will carry out the final adjustments and guide you though to ensure you know how to use the ATD system safely and effectively. Usually you will receive this training from the same specialist who conducted your personal assessment. - Support and steering system servicing
Driving systems which use ATD are renowned for their reliability although parts can wear or be damaged during everyday use. Balder UK has a team of Service Engineers who will service and repair your ATD system as quickly as possible. Balder UK is committed to providing ongoing support and advice so that you make the most of owning a converted vehicle, especially if your needs change over time.
